Founded by the people who'd recommend it
Medallion Health was created by a group of financial advisors and accountants who kept seeing the same thing: incorporated clients paying for dental work, glasses, and prescriptions with after-tax personal dollars, because nobody had shown them a better way.
A Private Health Services Plan was that better way, but only if administered properly. So we built the firm we'd want to refer our own clients to: rigorous on compliance, personal in service, and now a generation ahead on technology.
We've administered Private Health Services Plans since 2016, and the same three trustees have overseen the plan the whole way. Deal with Medallion and you deal with named, accountable people, not a call centre.

Co-founder
A Canadian Advisor of the Year award winner, four-time business author, and international speaker, Rod has spent more than three decades in financial services (including Chief Compliance Officer and board roles), specializing in ethics, compliance, and governance. The plan's compliance-first design is his.
Chris Burylo, LL.M
Co-founder · Trustee
Executive Chairman of Pinnacle Accounting & Finance and one of Business in Calgary's 2019 top business leaders, Chris is a retired CPA, CMA with a Master of Laws from Osgoode Hall. A tax strategist by trade and a Medallion trustee since 2016, he built the administration practice: careful claim review, record-keeping, and trust accounting.
Michelle Burylo
Trustee
Formerly a certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner, Michelle spent years running payroll and HR for an extensive portfolio of corporate clients. A Medallion trustee since 2016, she keeps the plan's administration running the way payroll should: accurate and on time.
Medallion Health was built by professionals with deep accounting, tax, and compliance backgrounds, which is why our claim review reads receipts the way an accountant would.
